    It’s The Real:

    The Notorious BIG’s lyrics speak to many fans’ ears, across all swatches of culture, drawing both on gleeful exaggerations of violence and somber reflections of personal introspection, tied together with deft wordplay and inflection. Still, it seems that Mr. Smalls - like Jesus Christ - drew his fair share of enemies as he spoke the truth.
