Spotify is a beautiful social music app unavailable to most US residents. The entire Spotify brand, along with the sleek, dark user interface of the Mac app, was designed by Rasmus Andersson, who recounts the experience in long form on his blog.

Along with the rumored iCloud music service, I would be very surprised if we don’t see iTunes 11 released this month.

While there are probably a thousand gripes I have with my beloved iTunes 10*, I would be very happy to see this simple change instated. You see, I can quickly see which playlists or genres I have selected to sync to my iOS device, but I’d have to scroll through over 2,000 artists or 4,000 albums in order to find which ones I have checked, if any.

I think of this every single time I sync my iPhone*.

I wanted to look closely at the UI for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab, so I grabbed the movie file and these screens.

Good for Samsung. It seems as if 7″ is a great size for this kind of device so I think this is a very smart move. Let’s just hope they can sell enough before Apple ships their 7″ iPad with semi-Retina Display.
