We liked the posters for our HTML5 Roadshow so much we decided to put them up in our lobby! Custom illustrations by our designer Katherine Chu!
Had some fun altering this photo of the Amazon Kindle Fire for our HTML5 Scorecard.
I took the photo with my iPhone 4. I originally used the natural reflection of the ceiling and florescent lights, but I didn’t like it so I made my own.

HTML5 Scorecard: Amazon Kindle Fire
When the Kindle Fire was announced, we were excited about getting our hands on it. As the first mass market tablet at the $200 price point, we knew it had a good shot at selling millions of units. But at the same time, we were apprehensive that Amazon might have skimped on hardware capabilities to reach that price.
We put the new Amazon Kindle Fire through the wringer to see how it stacks up as an HTML5 app platform. Click through to see how it fares.

This week we were excited to announce the release of Sencha Animator.
Sencha Animator is a desktop application for Mac, Windows, and Linux that allows you to create CSS3 Animations for WebKit browsers with ease. With Animator you drag and drop assets onto the stage, then start manipulating how their CSS properties change over time. Animator has full scene support, and you can even attach JavaScript handlers to objects on the stage to jump between scenes.
Be sure to check out the demos to see what has already been created with Sencha Animator, such as this amazing KickFu iPhone game, or the Museum of Science interactive ad.
You can try it out free for 30-days, so give it a go! Download Sencha Animator and see how easy it is to create something amazing today.
I had a lot of fun working on the Animator launch earlier this week. Initially, I felt a little self-righteous and would insist on writing animations by hand, but with this you can create and tweak your design visually and have it generate awesome animations without worrying if you missed a semicolon.
We’re working on something super cool to unveil at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles next week. Click through to find out more. http://www.sencha.com/max
Aditya Bansod has the scoop on the HP TouchPad for HTML5 Developers in our latest scorecard series. The TouchPad is the first device to ship HP/Palm’s webOS 3, and the first tablet from HP. See how they do in our HTML5 Developer Scorecard article on Sencha.com.
I’ve been using the HP TouchPad for a day, and it’s pretty good. By mimicking Apple completely, HP has the only viable non-iPad tablet in town. I am not ready to count webOS out of the game. The TouchPad is far better than any Android device I’ve tried so far.

The Xero mobile web app is one of the most beautifully designed Sencha Touch apps. It was recently wrapped with PhoneGap and will soon debut on the Apple App Store, alongside Android and BlackBerry.
